1. Who we are

United History is an independent, static Manchester United history archive. The site does not require account registration and does not sell products or operate a member database. Google AdSense code is configured on selected editorial pages; whether an advertisement is served depends on Google's approval, availability and, where required, the visitor's consent choice. Archive hubs, interactive tools and utility pages do not load the AdSense script. We use limited browser storage for requested site preferences.

2. Cookies and Local Storage

The site may use essential first-party storage to keep requested interface preferences, such as timeline filters or sorting options, on your device. Browser controls can remove or block cookies and local storage, although doing so may affect saved preferences.

Where advertising consent is required, United History uses Google AdSense Privacy & messaging, Google's consent management platform, to present advertising consent choices and to communicate those choices to Google AdSense and participating advertising vendors.

3. Google AdSense and advertising vendors

United History has configured Google AdSense on selected editorial pages. If Google approves and serves advertising, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies can enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.

Other third-party advertising vendors or ad networks may also use cookies to serve ads on this site. Google identifies advertising technology providers in its advertising technology provider list. You can visit those providers’ websites for more information about their data practices and any opt-out choices they offer.

4. Advertising cookies, identifiers and related data

Advertising providers may use cookies, local storage, pixels, tags and similar browser technologies. They may collect or receive online identifiers, browser and device information, approximate location, pages viewed, interactions with ads, referral information and consent choices. This information may be used to deliver ads, prevent fraud, limit how often ads are shown, measure ad performance and reporting, and, where permitted, personalize advertising.

5. Personalised and non-personalised advertising

Personalised and non-personalised advertising may appear through Google AdSense. Personalised ads may use information about prior browsing or app activity, interests, demographics or location to make ads more relevant. Non-personalised ads are selected using contextual information, such as the content of the current page and approximate location, rather than past behavior. Non-personalised ads can still use cookies or identifiers for purposes such as frequency capping, fraud prevention and aggregated ad reporting.

6. Consent and changing your choices

Google AdSense Privacy & messaging provides advertising consent controls where they are required, including options to consent, not consent, or manage advertising purposes and vendors. On approved pages that contain AdSense code, Google may also provide a “Privacy and cookie settings” link or equivalent revocation control for changing advertising choices. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out before it was withdrawn.

You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google through My Ad Center. You can also opt out of some participating third-party vendors’ personalized-ad cookies through YourAdChoices or similar regional advertising choice tools where available.

7. Analytics

No analytics system is currently active. If analytics is introduced with advertising, we will identify the analytics provider, the data it processes, its purpose, and the relevant consent controls in this policy before it starts collecting data. Analytics will not be enabled before the applicable consent signal is available where consent is required.

8. Contact Correspondence

If you email abstractcs65@gmail.com, we use your sender address and message content only to review and respond to your enquiry or correction. We do not use correspondence for marketing lists. Correction requests should include only the information needed to review the issue.

9. Third-Party Links

The archive links to external sources such as official competition records, club pages, statistical databases and reference sites. Once you leave United History, the external site's own privacy policy applies.

10. Your Rights

You can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data contained in correspondence you have sent to the archive, subject to lawful retention needs. Contact abstractcs65@gmail.com for privacy requests.
